I'm having a shot at my first Fursuit, and I'm constructing the head using the plastic canvas technique.

I'm having a bit of a problem here....
I can't seem to construct the ears just right. I've got a general cutout and whatnot, but I'm scared to death that I'll make an error and end up buying more materials.

Should I construct the ears separately and attach them later, or treat them as the rest of the head?

I would suggest making them separate and then attach them to the head.

You can use paper to cut out various shapes and hold them up to the head until you find something that works.

Thank you so much, that's what I was thinking. Just needed a second opinion.

Now, can anybody help me with this one:

I'm making a moving jaw with the Plastic Canvas technique, with the brads and rubber bands and all of that good stuff, but how can I limit how much the jaw returns?

ive been trying 3 methods, last one with foam seemed to work best, funny part is i used a coat hanger, and attached it to the moveable jaw to give some rigidity, posted the wire through the holes id made for the ears and ran it across to the other side, seemed to work out really well, and it was barried in the foam so it never touches my head
