Good commissioners?

I'd like to know some good fursuit commissioners for if I get to go to Anthrocon next year(I'm going to keep bugging my dad about it >:D) or for Halloween. I'd be willing to supply some materials, but not all. I plan to go for a half suit.

I know that Beastcub, Beetlecat, Donthugcacti, are good people to commission from. My friend Zeke and I also turn out pretty good costumes and you can find a link in my signature.

As for the others, just type each name into Google their each individual site will turn up.

Well, the thing to keep in mind is not just who are good suit makers....

But more importantly how much are you willing (and able) to spend?

In my case I infact went with Solio up there, and while he can be abit hard to get ahold of to ask questions of etc at times, he does definately appear to do a wonderful job (Though I cant speak about my own pending suit as other projects are ahead of mine in his work queue).

I have however, in person seen the work of other makers such as Primal Visions, and a few other suit makers. Given that I've got a strong preference for 'realisitc' look on the whole I went with the more expensive side of things, over the generally cheaper cartoony style suits. It's nto that I find anything wrong with it. It just did not fit what I wanted in my own suit.

For a full suit though my understanding is expect to spend anywhere between $1,200 to $3,000 USD for a decent suit. Partials of course are a fair bit cheaper.. but not -that- much cheaper. I know Rif, a local fursuiter here paid something like $900 just for his partial suits head. Though I dont know if that was USD or CND. I could well see it having been USD given how detailed it is, and it was done by Primal Visions.

On the flip side, another local suiter here made his own suit for about $800 CND. Not bad at all for a full suit. Sure it's not 'perfect' but I still think he did a very good job with it, and ti's very child friendly which suits his demeanor and what he and many other suiters do around here. (Such as go out and play around with the crowds downtown etc, especially the tourists in the summer)
