I'm new around here, so I thought I should say hello. I live in western PA, work in a steel mill, been in to the fandom a long time, but never been to a con before, planning to go to anthrocon in 09, was planning on 08 but plans fell threw, but no fail I'll be there in 09. So just saying hello, hope to talk later |

permalinkWell, there's a difference between the people out there and the people here. We are actually educated on what a "furry" is. And so we won't judge you immediately when you say that you enjoy anthropomorphic art. Which may lead to you not having to be quite so shy around us.
Besides that. I think that at least 75% of the people here have social phobias of some kind leading us to go to communities similar to this where we can come together and talk without fear of being judged or stereotyped.
so you're not alone in your being nervous about meeting other people.

Well welcome x3 I haven't been here very long either x_x never been to a con before, but I guess you could also say I'm kinda new to furries as well ^-^; Well I've liked anthros for a long time, but just found out about furs a few years ago xD Kinda weird I've seen a few people that live in PA like me. Most of the time I don't find people that live in the same state, let alone fellow furries :3
