What an incredible con me and my son Feather Wing had. We danced, played games, fursuited, did events and ever an the underdog skit. He is still coming down off the "high" and I am sure he will remember this con for the rest of his life. I am so proud to be a member of such a wonderful community, the general kindness that was shown to my son was over whelming. He has heard me talking about AC for years, and the magic of it. Now he has had the chance to experience the same magic that makes me love this community. I want to thank the staff and fandom personally, for putting on another great con, and showing my Feathwing the same kindness that I have grown to love over the last 8 years. Speedy Hamshark |

Was he the li'l guy in the short eagle costume? 'Cause it was adorable!
I know I'm not con staff or anything but it makes me feel fuzzy to know that a li'l kid can enjoy AC as much as the older fuzzies there. So glad to hear he had a good time with you!

permalinkI saw Featherwing here and there about the con. Wasn't sure that he was such a young guy (as opposed to just "height-challenged") till I glimpsed him headless outside the SoP Ballroom. I'm glad to hear he got such a kick out of AC, and hope he'll be enthusiastically accompanying you to future cons!
One question that got bandied about in my conversations: Are you planning on re-tailoring the suit every so often over the next few years? I can imagine that, by the time AC 2010 rolls around, he's gonna have some trouble fitting it on, y'know?
Also: Were you the one in the fuzzy orca suit?

The eagle suit is a small adult, and it did come with a set of yellow tights that are suppose to be the legs. My son dose wear the tights, however the suits over all length covers them all the way. So as he grows, the suit will grow with him.
As for my suit, I am the deranged Golden Hamster with the shark fins and metal teeth.

I wish I coulda gotten a picture with the two of you, I just loved your suit and your kid was such a cutie x) I remember you saying in an old thread what a ham he is and I certainly saw that. Unfortunately the audio for that was so tinny I could only make out every other word
I realize audio is more art than science, but were these not run through rehearsal and noticed? Was the problem in the original audio furnished by the performers, or in the Ballroom itself?
And I assume the delay in Lilyfox's act was due to downloading it over the wireless network; why wasn't a copy stored on somebody's hard drive?

I mixed the audio track myself and it sounded good on my machine. I am not sure what went wrong with it. It seemed to work well in the run thru on Sat morning

i am going to be honest with you. if i had to pick a con-goer of the con for AC 2008 it would be feather-eagle. he has the kind of courage it took me 20 years to find. kudos to both of you and i hope to see you next year as well as other cons

It was a joy to be able to pre-register you two, and especially see the two of you in suit! I was the (only) gryphon in suit...the one with the flame-colored feathery crest. You guys were totally adorable, and I'm so glad you both had a great time!

I just want to say "what a trip that was!"
cause wholy crap in a hat! I saw the Eagle suit runn'n around and stuff with the cane and thought it was a midget at first. Which is cool and all. But I was bustling in the headless lounge for a drink and saw it was a young adult, i nearly ran over for a couple of autographs casue that kid (your son) HAS THE COOLEST SET OF PARENTS OF ALL TIME!!!!!!!!!!!
