I haven't heard any requirement to censor our music, but that's not a guarantee . Either way though, censoring lyrics won't really make the music any less good.

permalinkhes good, but what about the track listing for DJ Genki's set, is it hardcore or that happy hardcore junk?

He's not playing, so it's a moot point, there...actually...no one's playing hardcore at all this year, so it's a moot point entirely.

It's all about catering to a large crowd. Not many people like insane hardcore stuff so that stuff gets less play at the con.
That said, thinking the dance is like a high school dance because of its absence is a little silly. That, and it's not a rave - it's a con dance.
I've heard a lot of the DJs who are playing at the con and they're all really good. Club-level good. If you enjoy dancing, you'll do well.

permalinkthe high school comment was based on the censorship of the music and its choice. However does the dance still go until 2am?

We've never had to censor the dances in the past, and assuming the DJs continue to use good judgement, we never will have to in the future. I personally trust all of our DJs to know and understand the environment, and to make that good judgement call, as well.
