meeting up and hanging out

any fellow furs play magic the gathering or the pokemon trading card game? ^^

yeah, actually myself and a few others were talking about it in passing on another thread. No idea where, but yeah....

anyways, I planned to go get a bite to eat before starting up with the volunteerness. If any of you folks want to set something up, id be happy to show up. Ill be arriving at about 7AM, which will leave me plenty of time to get something to eat, walk around for about an hour with some furs, scare the locals, and then return to the con long before it hits 10AM and the major volunteering begins with the dealers room and art show(Tshirt folding is plenty of fun).

Anyone else planning on arriving that early and want to set soemthing up?

Hello all. I am probably getting there the 4th..I can just imagine how nice the fireworks will be from the 26th floor, if i get the same floor as this past year! Hi, This is also my first year going. I would also like to meet up with some other furs, 'cause i'm lousy at having fun alone. So if anyone would like to meet up, I'll probably show up the first day, but probably won't wear my fur until the second day, but i'll have it with me, just in case. alrighty, i myself might also be going on my first year, alot of firsties out there. ill be there, it will be my 5th year going to AC and ive been to the con in pitts during this past year, so im familiar with the layout. I can post my AIM messenger here, and let some of you have my cell number later on, but its only to be used to get ahold of me. Dont use it for conversation. I dont got much minutes with my plan and I generally dont even like to talk on a phone anyways. I just use it to get into contact with people at meets and cons.

this is a reply from CJ, yeah I would to set something up that would be awesome, and scaring locals would be fun to xD, anyway cause my friend and I will be down thursday morning, and to try to get down there early at around 7-8am in the morning, or thats what i am hoping, but getting up at 2am=>.< but I cannot wait for it

so, any ideas of what we will do once we meet up? I didnt really leave the con grounds much, so I dont know what all there is to see around the area.

I know there is a quiznos(pardon my crappy spelling) in the area and a few other restaurants. yes, there is a chinese eatery in the area, but please, lets go someplace simple(diner or something). Chinese food doesnt agree with me very well. not sure why.

There is the steel city diner and a little place almost next door to the steel city diner that serves really good wraps. No idea what its called, id recognize it if I saw the name or the store though. both are really good restaurants from what im told and what Ive eaten *drools at the thought* Im gonna get AAA to give me a list of all the stores and food places within a 1/4 mile radius around the con hotel. there is bound to be plenty of places around to see without going too far from the hotel.
