I think the lasers are out of our budget.

Pyros are great though.
Speaking of laser lights. I have 4 of those laser lights which i bought used from ebay. Changed out the laser diode and it's like new again.
I would like to bring it, but i would have to truck it out from S.F and shipping it via UPS to the con would be out of the question,plus the laser might be a liabilty issue because it needs to be aimed correctly out of the way of anyone facing it.
Some lasers that face down have a longer wave length (it's brightness is between a LED and laser) and doesn't pose a hazard. It can be put almost anywhere,but they're still pretty bright.
But the one i have and the one in the video is of the high powered ones.

The anthrocon dance from far away looks like an underground happy hardcore rave...then at close range you realize it's just a bunch of furries failing epicly at dancing ^^;
It's a shame and a blast all at once, I love it XD
I got to dance on stage last year though, which was pretty tight X3

Did someone other than the convention bring in those lasers?
They're pretty good for such a small unit.
Man i wished i had brung in mines though i am not sure how if that'll exceed the fire code limit/electrical code.
We'll see if i can make an arrangment for next year provided it's allowed.

To whoever brought them, bring it again for next year!
All the best to that person even if for next year he/she doesn't bring it.
I feel they should get a credit atleast for bringing it. People who does something for a convention additionally should be noted.
Most people wouldn't bring such an equipment especially when considering that person have to transport it great distances,wear and tear on equipment,potential theft of equipment.For me i'd be sleeping in the ballroom or i'd hired a guard,lol
Though seriously these things don't run cheap.

permalinkI am, in no way, shape, or form, responsible for this act, nor gave any hint that it would be funny........I just suggested flashbang grenades for ease of use and carry.
But, in all seriousness, I was in the rave and the lasers that were used were definitely high up on the wall to keep from "poking" anyone in the eye.
I thought they were a nice touch and really added to the fun.

Our lasers were pointed in the correct direction, above the 14 ft mark and parameters were set.
It be sweet to see the colors of green,yellow,blue,purple,red just colliding together...with that fog it'll surely stand out.
Speaking of fog. I think the fog machine needs to be higher up as it wasn't stirring very well and a small fan would help also to disperse it.
