Travel Questions

  • What airport should I fly in to?
  • Pittsburgh International Airport, code PIT. You can visit their website to learn more about the airport. That site has a very useful feature that keeps track of cheap airfares to and from Pittsburgh as they come up.

  • Is that more expensive than Philadelphia?
  • That depends on where you are coming from and upon what airline. Pittsburgh is, on the average, comparable in fares to Philadelphia.

Since airplane fares can vary over a period of time, we would also like to point our members to the Farecast service, which keeps track of historic ticket prices and pricing trends.

  • I am coming from another country. Will I need a visa or any other special documentation upon arrival?
  • The United States has a nice web page at http://travel.state.gov/visa/visa_1750.html that should answer your questions. If not, then possibly the best source of information would be to telephone your airline or travel agent.

For further information, including details on getting to Pittsburgh via train, car, etc., please visit our travel page.
